Standing ovations in packed Sava Centar
Film „Gucha! (Distant Trumpet)“ had its premiere in packed Sava Centar on November 14th.
While the hall of Sava Centar was adorned with manually woven rugs, the audience was welcomed with traditional food: bread with salt, brandy and prunes served by young girls wearing traditional folk costumes. After the showing, the film crew received rousing ovations from the thrilled audience. Boban and Marko Markovic played their trumpets and the party with many celebrities lasted far into the night.
Boban Markovic thrilled by the film
Since he was on numerous tours abroad, until the day of the premiere Boban Markovic, our famous trumpet player, did not have the chance to see the film where his son played the leading role and he himself performed Dejan Pejovic’s compositions.
After the premiere, he congratulated the film director saying: „I’m thrilled“. He has good reasons to be proud of his son Marko who, although acting for the first time, played the role of Romeo with incredible skill and warmth. Boban and his son presented a brief concert for the audience at the premiere.
Tanja Savic sang „Suknjica“ at the film premiere
Tanja Savic, young Grand star, sang the song „Suknjica“ which appeared at the title credits. This song (composed by Dejan Pejovic, lyrics written by Marina Tucakovic) has been a radio hit for a longer period of time. Tanja, who saw the film for the first time at the premiere, enthusiastically joined Boban and Marko Markovic Orchestra. Her spontaneous gesture cheered up the audience already in high spirits. After the film premiere the audience was invited to a cocktail.
